Officials say more than 500,000 kites were purchased in a single day as markets, especially Mochi Gate, remained packed with eager buyers. 


The festival will be celebrated from February 6 to 8 under strict safety measures, with public holidays announced on February 6 and 7.

 Pakistan achieved a major trade milestone in January 2026, as exports crossed $3 billion for the first time, helping narrow the trade deficit by 28.5% to $2.725 billion compared to December 2025.  Exports rose 34.96% month-on-month to $3.061bn, while imports fell 4.85% to $5.786bn.
