 Public Holiday on Urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar

The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on Saturday, 7th February 2026, on the occasion of the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA).


The holiday will be observed across Sindh.


All government offices and educational institutions will remain closed, except essential services.


 The Urs is marked with religious gatherings at Sehwan Sharif, where thousands of devotees pay tribute to the great Sufi saint.

The occasion reflects the message of peace, love, and unity taught by Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Pakistan achieved a major trade milestone in January 2026, as exports crossed $3 billion for the first time, helping narrow the trade deficit by 28.5% to $2.725 billion compared to December 2025.

 Pakistan achieved a major trade milestone in January 2026, as exports crossed $3 billion for the first time, helping narrow the trade deficit by 28.5% to $2.725 billion compared to December 2025.  Exports rose 34.96% month-on-month to $3.061bn, while imports fell 4.85% to $5.786bn. On a yearly basis, exports increased 3.73%, and imports decreased 1.41%, slightly reducing the trade gap.  Despite this positive monthly performance, cumulative trade from July–January FY26 shows a widened deficit of $22.038bn, highlighting ongoing challenges in Pakistan’s trade and balance of payments. #PakistanExports #TradeDeficit #PakistanEconomy #ExportsGrowth #Imports #TradeNews #PBS
